Artist's Description

Emma Jane is a guest photographer to my gallery. She also happens to be my daughter. She is in her Senior year at the University of Wisconsin River Falls, majoring in Art Education. I saw this photo before I even realized it was my own daughters and I was instantly struck by it's starkness, composition, lines and color. I still am not quite sure what feelings it elicits, but they are truly powerful. I am drawn into this photo, to its sadness and to it's elegance. It brings about a quiet holiness to me. As a painter, I was captured by colors. Both at a distance and close up, this photo is incredibly appealing to the eye. I am so proud of Emma and look forward to featuring more of her work on Fine Art America.
