I started this painting this spring just as my hostas were coming up. I did not set out to paint something that looked my hostas. I actually had intended to do something completely abstract, but I must have been inspired by all the beauty in my gardens because this is what came of it. The colors are very soft.This picture of the original was taken out in the sunlight. Indoors, the picture is much more subdued with unbleached titanium white as the base. If you are at all interested in the original, I have numerous pictures of this painting in various lighting. Please feel free to email me if you are interested in seeing them.
