Description
This was a truly fun compilation of my artwork, my husbands photography (David Ralph Johnson) and my beautiful daughter Anna. This picture was picked out of a run of about 600 of her jumping in the air on a beautiful July day. She was a teenager and full of all the joy and freedom that summer brings to a young girl. There was not a bad picture in the whole bunch. This particular one has been worked up many different ways and I have painted it a few times. When I look at it I am reminded of not only her beautiful spirit, which has never changed even now as she is a mother, but I am also reminded of the spirit that resides in us all. A good remembering indeed.

Linda, thank you so much for the really nice comment. I'm sorry my response is delayed, my health has not been well and I've been in and out of the hospital. Part of the whole journey...but not a fun part, that's for sure. During these times it's difficult for me to do my art, but I still get out in the studio...even if it's just to rest a bit on the couch and be in the space. It's healing, that's for sure. :-)
