Description
This work was actually a work in mindfulness for me. I started the piece when my lupus was flaring and I was unable to stand up and paint. So I sat out in my studio on the couch and just clipped out things from my Mindfulness magazine that I wanted to concentrate on. It was the perfect way to start a painting. As soon as I was well enough I slowly and purposefully started to mix and move paint around the canvas. Paying close attention to the play of the colors and shapes. I ended that stage when I was ready to, not necessarily when the piece was �done�. I was not sure if I wanted to add the clippings or not, but then I decided that if I wanted to keep the work, in the end it would be a nice reminder to me of the lessons learned. So I did! I truly like how it ended up. It�s a good piece to just sit and look at. There are many phrases and quotes that are barely visible. Even I seem to find new ones every now and then! It would be a lovely work to have hand in a quiet space, in an office or in a yoga studio. It looks good in any light, and especially good when lit from above. Hope you enjoy it!

Thank you. I've been really sick lately and it's been difficult. Probably the toughest it's been since first getting sick. I'm about to start a new chemo regimen and feeling a bit down. This was such a nice boost for me. Thank you.
